The use and working of item categories

Introduction

By creating categories, you can create a better overview of your product catalog. These categories can come in handy when opening the overview of items in the backoffice, but especially in the app this will help your employees to find the item they want to register.

How to add a category

  1. Go to settings > (Items) Category Management
  2. Click add to create the category
  3. Two fields are required to create the category: the 'Category code' and the 'Category name'
  4. The code needs to be unique and the name is what the employee will see, when filtering for this category
  5. It is possible to upload a picture, representing this category. This picture will be shown in the app.
  6. If you want this category (and the underlying items) to be shown in the app, check the box 'Show'
