How to create an ad-hoc work order

Introduction

In OutSmart it is possible to create workorders that do not have a priority and can be picked up whenever an employee in the field has some time left. We call these Ad-hoc workorders. In the application employees will have access to a map where they can see these orders and pick one straight off this map when they are in the neighbourhood.

Setting the correct device policies

  1. Log into the OutSmart BackOffice account.
  2. Click on the settings option on the bottom left of the side menu.
  3. Search for the Device policies and settings option and click on the option itself.
  4. This will open the policies and settings overview. Click on the header called Map.
  5. On the right side the Map options will show. In order for an employee to be able to pick up Ad-hoc orders the options 'Map view enabled' and 'Show adhoc work orders' must be switched on.
  6. In addition a radius can be set to only allow regional orders to be shown in the Ad-hoc map.
  7. Click on the Save button in the top right corner.
