How to create a resource

Introduction

In OutSmart it is possible to also add resources(equipment) to the Scheduler. This can help to see in an overview where equipment is located. For example trailers or cranes.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log into the OutSmart BackOffice account.
  2. Navigate to the settings option in the bottom left side.
  3. Search for the section Device management.
  4. Here there are three options to add a resource to the OutSmart software. In order to be able to plan the resources they must be assigned to a Resource category. Firstly click on Resource category to add a new category.
  5. Next an actual resource needs to be created. Click on the Resource option to add a resource.
  6. Click on Add. This will open the settings. This is the same option as adding an object but the checkbox This is an internal resource is switched on. This means that a resource will not be shown in the object overview and it becomes only plannable via the OutSmart backoffice.
  7. After filling in all the desired information and selecting the correct resource category, click on the save button to create the resource.
  8. Go to the Scheduler and the new resources are shown under their respective categories.
